Long time no post! I’m writing a new book about local food and am in steep learning and deep writing mode. But I am taking a break from the computer to attend the Slow Money Conferencing in San Francisco October 12-14 which brings my two fascinations – food and money – together. I’ll write more as the weeks go on about how food and money relate (not just cost!) and how my new book, Blessing the Hands that Feed You; Lessons from a 10-mile diet (Viking 2012) parallels the transformational tools in Your Money or Your Life.

I am super excited to be participating in the transformation of my local farming community while I eat the fresh, yummy food my farmers grow.

If you are near San Francisco, I hope to see you at this Slow Money conference and dream together over the years to come about regenerating our local food systems.

    Your book sounds fascinating.
My family and I were in Maine this summer and we just can’t get over how good the veggies taste there. My only theory is that they like the rain, better than being watered by sprinklers.
    Happy writing,

At first I didn’t get how YMOYL and health could be related, but now I suddenly think I do, and am very very excited to see what you come out with. YMOYL changed my financial attitude completely and we are now in a good spot financially. I have been struggling with health changes for a few years and so am wondering if a similar framework might be as effective. Really looking forward to your book!

How very exciting! I read YMOYL a few years ago and made some changes in my job and lifestyle and about to start reading it again (tonight!) as I think Ive gone a little off track.

I look forward to your new book too and hope that there wont be much delay in having it published here in the UK.

Just wanted to add your book “Your Money or Your Life” really changed my family’s look at money back in 1993 when we first read it. I have my own blog called The Frugal Dietitian. Looking forward to your new book.
