Brazil is happiness to me too! Went the first time in 1996, and been back 2 more times, spent most of my time in Bahia and realize that it has had a huge impact on my life in how their happiness does not rely on stuff. Was blessed to visit the home of afro-Brazilian dance/percussion teachers I studied with who put a lot of energy into their home located in a favela. It seemed that everything they owned in their sparsely furnished, well-appointed home had meaning. I remember looking out and seeing someone else’s sheet hanging on a clothesline that had been mended. Here of course, we would have thrown it away and gotten a new set of sheets!
